Gaboon Ebony, hard dense highly prized wood, it's one of the most expensive woods you can buy.  These are about 3 inches long by 1 inch wide and are still quite lightweight, durable and with a nice grain pattern.

Affixed with copper plated stainless steel hardware that's nickel free.  The wood is finished with Milky Way's Wood Preserves™️, a non-toxic, petroleum free, food safe finish.
